Senior Service Designer

We are looking for Service Designers who have special know-how within either health & welfare, heavy asset industries or the consumer market. Who are we looking for?

We are looking for experienced Service Designers who want to push the limit of the impact that design can make. In EGGS, designers have a key role in shaping our clients’ future through our impact-oriented, cross-disciplinary approach to design-driven innovation. To be comfortable as a service designer in EGGS, you need to be an excellent individual designer as well as an empathetic team player who feels safe taking on complex challenges. To be a good fit for the role, we believe that you:

• Are a trained Service Designer or equivalent with service-innovation experience.

• Have at least 4 years of work experience

• Have experience from mapping out systemic complexity and finding the right level of design-intervention while securing good organizational fit with many stakeholders

• Might have a specialization in system-oriented design, universal design, or service- prototyping.

• Thrive as a team player, in teams with digital designers, brand designers, and creative techies from EGGS

• Care about the impact your work makes, and therefore approach the client´s challenges with empathy and resourcefulness.

• You’re good at – and enjoy – self-management and autonomy

Your industry and market knowledge

We’re looking for three different Service Designers and expect you to have know-how and experience within one, or more, of the following industries:

• Health and welfare: You have either educational or relevant work experience to understand the multiple missions and goals that form the development of the Norwegian welfare-society.

• Heavy asset industries: You have experience working with large organisations and understand the dynamics of using design as a tool for change, in professional, global systems.

• Consumer market: You have a special know-how in prototyping innovative experiences and service-propositions for commercial use.

What will you be doing?

As a service designer in EGGS, you follow work from classical service design over a variety of touchpoints: digital design, product design, experience design, and brand design. You will also work in a wide range of project-types yourself. We support learning journeys and change-process is in our client’s organizations and work closely with other design and tech-disciplines. In this position, you will take on several roles:

• You will facilitate workshops, insight-and design process.

• You will master methodology choices and various design methods and processes.

• You will communicate findings and results in visually strong and engaging deliverables.

• You will develop clever concepts, prototypes, and tests, in every stage of the process.

• You will work with the craftsmanship of design, creating strategic guidelines, complex insight mappings, and holistic service journeys.

• You will be working with important local and international clients
