Realizing new, innovative concepts. For one of the largest employers in the Netherlands: the Tax Authorities. That means designing for large, different user groups. As a service designer in Utrecht you have plenty of challenges. In this way you contribute to something for all of us.

This is what you do at the Tax Authorities. You work together with entrepreneurs, tax service providers and colleagues to make new ideas come true. To do this, you analyze processes and customer journeys. This way you can see exactly where there are opportunities for improvement. Everything you come up with is developed into concepts and prototypes. And you test them for feasibility. To achieve this, you work a lot on the front end and with development frameworks. This way you work on products and services that support the user in an appropriate way at the right time, in the right place. You provide feasible steps and monitor the overview. In this way you give direction to solutions and you give space for all inspiration. Technical experiments? Gladly even! You use the best techniques for the best results. And of course you take the applicable laws and regulations into account. This way you connect the worlds of innovation, services, enforcement and ICT.

A special job, because…

  • innovation is our priority.
  • always continuing to learn and develop is the standard.
  • working towards a financially healthy and fair Netherlands is a great vision.

“Legislation, technology or social developments? The small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) department continuously works on improving and renewing processes, products and services. For entrepreneurs, tax service providers and their own employees. It is very challenging to shape the innovations that contribute to this together with internal and external parties.” Robert, concept development & interaction advisor at the Tax Authorities. When does this job suit you?

  • You have at least an HBO diploma in a relevant field.
  • You have at least 3 years of work experience as a service designer, UX designer or concept developer.
  • You have knowledge of frontend development frameworks.
  • You have experience with prototyping tools such as Figma.
