Job duties

Do you want to be involved in the start-up and design of a unique service as a service designer with us?

This is an exciting and newly established role where you will have great opportunities to influence the design of routines and working methods. Your duties include, among other things, to:
– Use service design methodology to design new and improved services for residents and employees.
– Be responsible for the experience of an area of services and lay a roadmap for the development of this area.
– Carry out analyzes on how services work today and what gaps exist compared to how they should work.
– Assist and collaborate with the region’s businesses in the digitization work and sell various ideas and concepts.
Define future development needs for the business.

With us, you will be part of a team with other sub-portfolio managers and talented service designers. You also work very closely with service managers, program managers, project managers and those who own the sub-portfolios from the business side. Your role in this context is to stand on the user’s side and, together with employees, patients and residents, ensure that the user’s journey across multiple services and touchpoints provides value at every step.

At the unit, we are currently reshaping the team, which means that your specific tasks may change over time. We are also in the process of implementing a new model for managing our IT development. Since we do not yet know exactly what this model will look like with us, you have great opportunities to be involved and influence how you and our unit will operate in it. In other words, it is not a finished role you enter, but routines and processes are still under development. It is therefore important that you are comfortable with continuously shaping and adjusting your way of working according to changing circumstances.

Qualifications

We welcome you with a relevant post-secondary education, alternatively you with other education in combination with work experience that the employer deems relevant. The role requires that you have worked both with designing new services and analyzing and improving existing services. In addition, you master the service designer’s usual methods for user studies such as customer journeys, service maps, various formats of workshops, interviews and prototyping, and have experience in structured analysis of results linked to these. You also have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. There are many ways to become a service designer, so please describe your education and previous experience and how it helped you!

It is advantageous if you have experience of working strategically and practically with service design and UX in a large and complex IT environment, for example from a larger organization or an extensive project. Since we work a lot with the care sector, experience from and/or knowledge of care operations is also meritorious. Communication is a central part of the position and we would like for you to have experience in selling ideas as well as creating and delivering sales presentations. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of laws and regulations that affect us in the public sector such as GDPR, OSL, PDL and LOU.

In order to be eligible for a position with us, you do not need to have all the skills and experience listed because it is not reasonable for one and the same person to possess all of these. Feel free to highlight what you are good at so that together we can stitch together a fantastic team!

As a person, you need to be determined and a bit stubborn, but still humble. We like that you are outgoing, good at networking and can easily build trust. It is also important that you are analytical and have good communication skills and can “speak IT” in a way that everyone understands. You easily take a leading role if needed, but have no problem backing down in situations when it is most favorable. In addition, you think in terms of long-term goals and are not afraid to take your own initiatives and risks if that is what is best in the long run. You are a distinct team player to the extent that you are keen to share your knowledge and fit into the big building, but you also enjoy working independently. We are keen to find the right person for our team and attach great importance to personal suitability.
