About the role
Maverick is looking for an experienced service designer who wants to work on complex assignments where user needs and business benefits meet. You will work in consulting assignments with clients in both the private and public sectors and drive service development from insight to implementation. In close collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams, you will map the current situation, identify opportunities and design solutions that create value.
Job duties
As a Service Designer at Maverick, you will work on a variety of assignments, both for customers and in internal projects. You will work on both new services and further development of existing processes, for customers in areas such as finance, automotive and public administration. The work includes user research, customer journeys, workshop facilitation, concept and prototype development, and ensuring that design solutions are realized.
You have a central role in translating complex business and customer needs into clear concepts and service strategies. The role requires you to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and drive decisions through analysis and structure.
You work both independently and in teams with UX designers, developers and strategists. Clients are often medium to large organizations in both the private and public sectors. The work is mainly done hybrid or remotely, but some assignments require presence at the client’s site.

You are social and confident in new contexts, with strong communication skills. You easily adapt your language and approach to the recipient – whether it is a developer, decision-maker or end user. You build trust, create engagement and thrive in the role of bridge between different perspectives and expectations.
Ska requirements
- At least ten years of documented experience in service design in business or the public sector
- Experience from automotive or other technology-intensive industries
- Experience of the entire service design process in complex ecosystems, from insight to implementation
- Solid knowledge of user-centered methods such as customer insight work, service blueprinting and customer journeys
- Strong business understanding and ability to connect design insights to strategic decisions
- Experience in consulting work and customer assignments
- Experience in designing and facilitating workshops, including at management level
- Very good Swedish and English, spoken and written.
- Living in Gothenburg and the surrounding area
Meritorious
- Experience with traditional business development tools such as business modeling, business cases, and competitor and trend analysis
- Good business acumen and understanding of business strategy, budget, time and pricing
