As a Senior Service Designer at These Ways, you work at the intersection of strategy, user needs, and organization. You take a leading role in understanding complex issues, defining direction, and developing holistic services that create value for both users and the business.
You will typically:
• Lead and facilitate insight and design processes with customers across levels – from disciplines to management
• Plan and carry out insight work (interviews, workshops, analysis) and translate this into clear problem understandings
• Structuring complex issues and developing direction, concepts and missions
• Facilitate workshops and collaborative processes that build ownership and progress
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams and help connect business, technology and user needs
• Contribute to sales processes and be a strategic advisor to our customers
• Explore how new technologies, including AI, impact user needs, services and business models
The role is largely about creating direction and momentum – not just delivering design artifacts.
Qualifications – Senior Service Designer
We are looking for someone who combines strong design expertise with the ability to drive processes and create progress in complex organizations.
You have:
• Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in service design, innovation or similar roles
• Solid experience in leading insight and design processes from problem understanding to concept development
• Strong expertise in facilitating workshops and collaboration processes
• Ability to structure complex issues and translate insights into concrete directions and recommendations
• Experience working closely with customers and stakeholders at various levels, including management
• Good business understanding and ability to connect user needs to business goals
It is an advantage if you also have:
• Experience from a consulting role
• Experience from the public sector or complex organizations
• Knowledge of agile working methods and interdisciplinary teams
• Experience in applying or exploring AI in service development or innovation processes
