Service Designer

On behalf of our client in the healthcare sector, we are looking for a service designer. For the customer’s newly established investment area within artificial intelligence and health research, there is a need for a dedicated service designer who has broad competence and experience with design methodology and tools, and who is concerned with creating good user experiences across services. The person should be curious about new technology, preferably related to health, artificial intelligence (AI) and research. The service designer will take a central role in the project team for the Secure ICT Platform for Artificial Intelligence and Health Research (SIKTH). The project started its implementation phase in the autumn and until 2026 will establish an infrastructure and a service area that will offer essential services to support clinicians and researchers in their work with AI and data analysis. The service designer will become part of an interdisciplinary team at SIKTH and will work closely with product owners, developers and clinicians/researchers (users) in the companies. As the team is so new, some degree of physical presence at our main location in Tromsø will be expected. 

Area of ​​responsibility:

• Assist with design deliverables in the development of a new service area for artificial intelligence and health research.
• If necessary, assist with advice and design deliveries in other initiatives.
• If necessary, assist in workshops, teaching and knowledge transfer.

Main duties:

• Lead and be responsible for various design deliverables.
• Map and describe service/user journey(s) for the service area.
• Map and describe the needs that the service area must cover.
• Map and describe how the service area is connected to other service areas (dependencies, limitations, etc.).
• Close collaboration with newly established service team.
• Building up design expertise in the newly established service team.
• Collaboration with the existing design environment in Helse Nord IKT

Must-requirements:

• Documented competence and experience with design methodology and tools.
• Experience of using a broad toolbox adapted to different processes and situations.
• Experience in building new services.
• Experience of working in interdisciplinary teams.
• Good at visualization and communication (please show for assignments)

Should requirements:

• Experience with UX/UI design.
• Advantage with knowledge of IT, technology, including artificial intelligence
• Advantage with knowledge of the specialist health service (regional health undertakings)
