Senior Service Designer

We are looking for an ambitious and creative senior service designer (5+ years of experience) to strengthen our interdisciplinary team of service, industrial, interaction, digital and UX designers in Oslo.

• Lead and facilitate exciting projects with different themes and challenges. Investigate and develop everything from digital platforms, human interactions, physical environments to structural guidelines and collaboration models in both the private and public sector.

• Get the opportunity to create real social change when you work co-creatively in complex landscapes in the public sector.
• Shaping and developing service design as a discipline within Designit. By leading and supporting sales activities, leading and guiding junior and mid-designers, and developing methodology and tools both within Designit Oslo and globally.

We are looking for:

• A professional designer with 5+ years* work experience in service design, preferably in a cross-industry agency. (*We are also looking for a Service Designer with 2+ years of experience, see our other job advertisements on Linkedin!)
• Someone with a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in design, specializing in service/UX design or similar education or experience.
• Someone who speaks fluent English and one Scandinavian language: our working languages ​​are English and Norwegian.
• Someone who is located, or able to move without sponsorship, to our design studio in Oslo. We allow remote work if necessary, but as a general rule we want as many people as possible to be present in the office most days.
• Someone who is well acquainted with basic service design tools, methods and processes, but who always adapts these to the need and context.
• Has strong ability and experience in planning, defining and facilitating various qualitative insight activities, as well as experience in structuring and analyzing large amounts of insight.
• Someone who is passionate about good communication, is able to convey insights and concepts in an engaging way and translates thoughts and strategies into tangible material. You work to create common understanding across different teams, and are aware of the impact your communication has on others.
• A creative problem solver, you have ideas that challenge the ordinary and the drive to realize them.
• Someone who nurtures customer relations on a professional level. As a leader, facilitates and embraces all parts of the design process.
