As the Principal Service Designer of our S-kaupat service, you get to work in the design and development of automation, logistics and warehouse operations for online stores. In this role, you will immerse yourself in the interesting world of order and supply chains. Your responsibility is the overall development of services and processes related to the processing, collection and delivery of our customers’ online food orders . In addition, you get to gain customer understanding on your own and also as part of a functional team: your home base can be found in the squad building a new automation warehouse and collection center, where you will be supported by expert experts specializing in CFC/MFC topics. You also get to work closely with the staff of regional cooperatives.

In addition to our significant delivery projects, you will get involved in building a widely influential online food store: up to 40% of Finns would primarily choose the S-kaupat service from among various online food stores (Suomi Syö). Our international work team has more than 100 multidisciplinary employees whose specialties are sales, marketing, business development, technology and design. We work agilely and constantly develop our own working methods.

As a Principal Service Designer, you can see your success concretely in the NPS measurements of our S-kaupat service, in customer feedback, on the screens of millions of Finns, and in the flow of successful food orders. This is what we want from you 

  • You are interested in customers and their needs and know how to take these into account in design and development processes
  • You can make interpretations of customer needs with the help of data
  • You master different service design tools and methods (e.g. quantitative and qualitative customer research, facilitation, conceptualization, building and modeling customer paths)
  • You have experience in building and using models that measure customer satisfaction
  • You are used to leading large service design projects that involve both physical and digital dimensions
  • You have good communication skills and evidence of successful cooperation with different stakeholders as part of an agile development team
  • You work proactively, analytically and results-oriented
  • You already have previous experience in change management
  • You communicate fluently in Finnish and English at work
  • You are interested in mentoring and brainstorming together with your designer colleagues
  • If you have work experience in systems design or logistics, we consider it an advantage
