Service Designer
Københavns Kommune
Do you want to help develop more meaningful and coherent experiences and processes for companies and unemployed Copenhageners when they meet the job centre? Can you create design solutions based on research and user involvement that can show the way for organizational development?
You will be responsible for development projects as part of a newly formed interdisciplinary analysis team with a focus on service design and data analysis.
It is important that you have a natural curiosity and empathy and want to contribute to the co-creation of meaningful experiences and services within the municipal employment and integration efforts in Copenhagen.
The government has announced that the job centers are to be closed. Everything indicates that active employment efforts will continue. This means that in the coming years we will have to rethink large parts of the task that the municipality currently faces in this area. The analysis unit plays a central role in creating the good adjustment of the way we work and the service offered to citizens.
The projects vary, and you will meet many different groups of citizens and employees. At the moment, we are working on, among other things on how unemployed people with invisible disabilities get the necessary help on their way to a job or education, and we design and test how the physical spaces at the job center can support a change in culture, the desired atmosphere and behaviour.
With all our projects, we want to contribute to the fact that the unemployed will experience the meeting with the job center as a meaningful and rewarding experience.
It is important that you have experience of using qualitative methods and service design in practice, and that you are able to communicate insights, solutions and the value of service design to other professional groups. We are looking for a profile that is structured, proactive, has solid analytical skills and has a strategic view of how development projects can be lifted up and become benchmarks for an organisation’s development.
As a unit, we believe in collaboration that it should be pleasant to go to work, and we are inspired by everything between scientific articles, nature, art and make a great deal of sharing knowledge and keeping ourselves updated.

- Preferably with several years of experience in service design, user-centred design, social innovation, public innovation, behavioral design, testing and organizational development
- Enjoy working in a large political organization with many different professional groups.
We also emphasize that you
- Is a strong communicator, both orally, in writing and visually
- Is innovative, reflective and solution-oriented
- Is a team player
