Service Designer

About the position
In the Technical and Environmental Administration (TMF) in the Municipality of Copenhagen, we are looking for a new colleague who will help build a new and ambitious service team. The team will be part of Stab Kommunikation, which is centrally located in the administration, and the task is that together we must strengthen the service culture in the administration – to the benefit of Copenhageners.

To that end, we need a skilled service designer who thrives in a highly outgoing role in the large organization that TMF is, and who knows what real change requires.

You will be part of a new team that, in addition to yourself, consists of a newly hired professional coordinator, a future involvement consultant and half a full-time employee who works with the municipality’s contact centre.

The team and the communication unit are part of Stab, which is the central, supporting, administrative unit in TMF.

The task and direction
Together with the team and colleagues in Stab Kommunikation, you will work dedicatedly to ensure that Copenhageners experience good meetings with TMF, whether they meet us physically, digitally or on the phone. You must be involved in researching, designing, testing, prioritizing and implementing new services and solutions in close collaboration with the entire administration.

Analytical skills are needed here and preferably extensive experience with service design, which we see as a key professional skill in the team. It will be great if you can both facilitate the uncovering of service trips and visualize them in a way that makes them manageable to work on.

You can look forward to getting your day-to-day work in the entire administration and coming into contact with everything from the executive board and the administration’s management to unit managers, professional employees and everyone else who has to help drive the change towards a better service culture in TMF.

Work tasks
Your work tasks will include, but are not limited to

• to facilitate service design processes, including mapping and visualizing service journeys and workflows
• to analyze needs, pains, touchpoints and personas based on qualitative methods
• to support testing and implementation of new solutions using e.g. prototypes
• to contribute to identifying efforts for better service
• to be able to help when the service competences in the administration need to be lifted. For example, through dialogue, teaching, self-service solutions or e-learning

Competencies
We expect you

• have a relevant education in e.g. service design, organizational development, co-design, design thinking or similar and experience with relevant tasks in e.g. service design, user-centred design, social innovation, public innovation, testing and prototypes or similar
• have experience with and are comfortable using service design in practice and on their own
• is analytical and has experience with or interest in becoming part of a large organization
• enjoy working closely with a small team and various other professional groups
