The Senior Product and Service Designer at Hootzpa will play a crucial role in determining the future of our product offerings. With his human-focused design perspective, this professional will take the lead in identifying opportunities, conceptualizing solutions and delivering perfect service experiences that exceed user expectations. When reporting to the VP of Products, this professional will work directly with stakeholders across the organization to encourage innovation and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Main responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:  Lead the development and execution of service design strategies aligned with business objectives and user needs. Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify market trends, competitive landscapes and emerging opportunities.
  • Human-Centered Design:  Apply empathy and user-centered principles to understand and advocate for our customers’ needs, behaviors, and motivations. Utilize a variety of research methods, including ethnographic studies, user interviews, and journey mapping, to uncover insights and inform design decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including product management, engineering/development, marketing, and customer support, to co-create holistic solutions. Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and stakeholder engagements to promote collaboration and alignment throughout the design process.
  • Service Blueprinting and Prototyping:  Develop comprehensive service blueprints and ecosystem maps to visualize end-to-end customer journeys and touchpoints. Create interactive prototypes and mockups to iterate on service concepts and solicit feedback from internal stakeholders and external users.
  • User Testing and Validation:  Design and conduct user testing sessions to evaluate the usability, effectiveness, and desirability of service prototypes. Synthesize feedback and iteratively iterate designs to address user pain points and improve the overall user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, Service Design or UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction or related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects from concept to implementation.
  • Expertise in human-centered design methodologies, including ethnographic research, journey mapping and service blueprinting.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Flutter or equivalent.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and business knowledge, with the ability to align design decisions with organizational objectives and market opportunities.
  • Experience working in agile or lean environments, with a focus on iterative design and rapid prototyping.
  • Portfolio demonstrating a variety of design projects, including process documentation, wireframes, prototypes, and user testing results.
  • Experience in technology products is essential.
