Senior Service Designer

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Service designer to work in our presales function that will provide high level consultancy to our internal team and customers. You will be assessing customer requirements to develop service designs, and ensure the costings are both commercially viable and competitive in complex contractual services. You will create the best method of delivering solutions to the customer and play a key role in shaping the service offerings.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess and clarify customer requirements
• Map requirements against our existing capabilities
• Maximise the opportunities to utilise the Shared Service Factory and other core propositions
• Considers services outside of our existing capabilities
• Supports the development of the Transition & Transformation services/activities and commercials
• Supports Solution Manager in developing the solution/design (technical, operational, commercial)
• Lead the functional and Commercial Design while working in collaboration with Solution Managers and Sales Specialists as a primary member of the pre-sales function
• Creates costing for developed services across the entire scope of desktop and enterprise environments.
• Agrees solution & costing with ISP’s
• Work as part of a team on complex global solutions to ensure that hand over to relevant support organisation is successfully completed.
• Creates non-complex pricing and complex pricing if required

The Ideal Candidate

• Good working knowledge of relevant commercial tools and systems e.g. cost & pricing tools, maintenance & logistics, resource planning and project planning
• Track record of successful service design within an IT reseller
• Broad knowledge of the business benefits that technical solutions & services can provide
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to adapt communication styles to audience.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise own workload
• Demonstrating a creative and analytical approach to problem solving
• Able to build and maintain effective working relationships
• Excellent excel skills, formula’s pivot tables, analysing and interpreting data
