Senior Service Designer

The opportunity
As a (senior) service designer at EY VODW, you work in multidisciplinary teams together with, for example, business strategists and data scientists on the design of digital products, services and value propositions. You play an essential role in translating the needs of users and the ideas of our clients into a strong proposition and service design.

Your key responsibilities
It is your mission to take care of every service design down to the last detail. You know that this is only possible if you really understand the customer. In close collaboration with the (client) team and colleagues from other fields, you will look for what the customer really wants, thinks and feels.

• You are part of the design process. From exploration to implementation: design research, service design, prototyping, validation and implementation of concepts

Skills and attributes for success
You are enthusiastic about experimenting and are not afraid to translate your idea into a first prototype, validation or ‘MVP’. Preferably you then go out into the street to present your idea to others. Looking for feedback to make it a little better every time.

• Each touchpoint is an important piece in the bigger puzzle for you. You design and improve the customer experience while experimenting
• You know how to present and convey your creative quality and skills in a good way and you can easily include others in the process.

To qualify for the role you must have

• You are a passionate (senior) service designer and you have completed a relevant master’s degree (e.g. Interaction Design) with excellent results.
• In addition, you have at least 2 years of work experience in designing (digital) services and experiences
• You have a good set of Design Research techniques and methods and you know how to structure the chaos of all insights and translate the most important into inspiring principles for design
• You translate insights into tangible ideas and prototypes. You can work with software such as Sketch, Adobe XD and Figma
• You are a conceptual thinker and enjoy contributing to the (business) challenges of our clients.

Ideally you will also have

• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
