Service Designer

About the role

As a Service Designer, you translate insights and bottlenecks from customer journeys into solutions with real impact and, together with your colleagues from various departments, you develop improvement processes.

What are you going to do?

• Translate & innovate
• You discover opportunities for improvement in customer journeys and, together with multidisciplinary teams, translate these into concrete solutions and innovations that optimize the applicant experience.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration
• You work side by side with customer researchers, customer journey specialists and various stakeholders from the organization to clearly map and improve the end-to-end customer experience.
• Connect and co-create
• You act as a bridge between internal teams – from all IND directorates – and external partners such as the Dutch Refugee Council, legal profession and municipalities.
• Workshop facilitation
• With your facilitating skills, you organize and lead inspiring and effective multidisciplinary workshops that provide new insights, ideas and solutions.
• Making complexity simple
• You translate complex systems and processes into clear, visual stories with powerful storytelling.
• Strategic thinking
• You proactively think about possible improvement opportunities for the organization and help determine the course of our team.
• Change manager in action
• You convince the organization of the importance of design thinking and customer experience. You are partly responsible for the ambitions of the IND in the field of customer-oriented work.
