About the job

Are you ready to be the driving force behind the development of completely new services & services that customers are really waiting for? You design and develop innovative services that make a real impact in the world and you start from scratch, with a blank canvas. This is your chance to use your expertise and creativity to discover, test and develop new revenue models.

Your insights will be critical to ensuring we validate the right assumptions so we can go to market with speed. The domains in which we want to make an impact are smart mobility, carefree living & working, closer health and income for now and later. As a service designer you work in duo with a venture builder from the start: You are the joint co-founders of the venture. As the venture grows, your team grows with it. Where the focus of the service designer is more on customer and product, that of the venture builder is more on the commercial side and the business model

The following responsibilities are involved:

• Identifying opportunities and seeing untapped opportunities to launch new services in emerging segments of the market
• Actively experiment and validate assumptions to understand customer needs and feasibility of services
• Developing solutions and concepts that meet the customer needs that have been collected
• Collaborating with the various stakeholders/stakeholders to create support and to align the services with our strategic goals
• Developing and testing designs to create the perfect UX/UI.

The Department

In addition, we would like to see the following elements in your profile:

• With at least five years of experience as a service designer in a start-up or scale-up environment, you have proven that you are able to test, develop and successfully launch innovative propositions with new revenue models.
• You have experience with and knowledge of various innovation and design methodologies (lean startup, design thinking, service design, customer journey mapping, etc.)
• You have knowledge of different research and experimentation methods to gain insight into customer needs and the feasibility of the services (interviews, ethnography, visual concept mapping, prototyping)
• You are result-oriented and go for maximum impact, but in a good balance with quality
• You recognize in yourself a high resilience and flexibility and do not mind working in an environment that itself is still in the process of starting up
• You enjoy working in a team and are open to collaboration
• Your communication skills are excellent and you have a natural talent for presenting concepts and insights to others in an engaging and clear way. You know how to inspire and motivate others to work together towards good results.
