The Team
As a service designer, you will be part of a team, a so-called portfolio office. There, you will collaborate with different roles such as requirements analyst, solution architect and business specialists to build understanding of the business, manage needs and design solutions.
Job duties
In this role as a service designer, you will continuously work closely with users and clients from the business, but also with developers and suppliers to ensure that the design is implemented in the solution. Your goal is to contribute to the development of services, working methods and digital solutions that create long-term value for the business. You will thus have a major influence on KTH’s digital future. As a service designer, you are responsible for:
- Set direction for and lead the design work in the assignment.
- Understand needs and context through analysis, process mapping, interviews, tests, leading workshops, etc.
- Analyze and prioritize benefits together with the business.
- Translate needs into solutions together with the architect and the business.
- Validate and quality assure solutions.
- Follow up on impact and goal achievement.
- Contribute to method and competence development regarding design at KTH.
Qualifications
Claim
- Academic education or other education and/or experience that the employer deems equivalent.
- At least five years of combined experience in service design, UX design or similar user-centered work from research to design.
- Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English as required in daily work.

Meritorious
- Experience working as a designer in an agile cross-functional development team.
- Work experience in planning and leading projects/assignments.
- Experience working with web accessibility, compliance and evaluation of WCAG 2 or later versions.
- Work experience from a government agency.
- At least a bachelor’s degree from a college or university.
