What are we searching for?

 what we expect from you

  • You have worked for 5 years or more in service design.
  • You have a fine-tuned sense for visual design; You value usability, simplicity, and consistency.
  • You have the ability to represent in low-fidelity artifacts, ideas, concepts and solutions that help to understand how the navigation and interaction with said touchpoint will be.
  • You know how to use tools and techniques such as artifact conceptualization, blueprinting, business model definition, user journey mapping, ecosystem mapping, value proposition definition, workshop design, and co-creation techniques , among other.
  • You are strong in strategic and analytical thinking. You demonstrate excellent abilities to see the big picture, spot patterns, and facilitate cohesion across products and services. 
  • You are a critical and proactive person. That you find areas of opportunity, propose possible solutions and carry them out.
  • You know how to work in a team and you are capable of admitting mistakes and rethinking your position in ambiguous situations. 
  • You show empathy and professionalism by presenting solutions and ideas, in a visual and understandable way.

About the position

We are looking for a Senior Service Designer to join the Design Discipline team. The role of this team (similar to that of design operations in other organizations) is to set standards and lines of action for the entire Design Community of Practice, made up of more than 400 people.
The main lines of work of the Discipline are:

  • Design Practice : We strive to standardize the practice through tools, standards and frameworks that allow us to offer consistent, coherent experiences with a user perspective. 
  • Design Community: Our main mission is to energize the design community so that the knowledge generated is distributed and creates value for all practitioners. 
  • People : We must promote the professional development of the people who make up the Community of Practice, clarifying the expectations of the organization regarding their role within it. 
  • Design Strategy: We are in charge of defining the strategy of this practice in the organization. We must give tools to the members of the CoP to understand how what we do contributes to the organization’s strategy, how it adds to the generation of business and where the practice is headed.

key responsibilities

  • Support in the design of the strategy of the BBVA Design team.
  • Propose transformation projects, action plans and achievement of OKR.
  • Carry out continuous communication with the countries with a Design presence to coordinate the strategy on a global scale.
  • Promote and contribute to the design community of practice. 
  • Facilitate collaborative work sessions inside and outside the Design area.
  • Being able to make solutions that help the Community of Practice tangible in digital artifacts.
