Senior Service Designer

The role is currently remote first. However, we come together as teams and with our clients when needed. Our clients are across the UK.

As a LovedBy Service Designer you will:

• Lead your client team in articulating the end to end service through mapping, proposition design and user validation
• Feed into the wider team to underpin service delivery. You use advanced techniques to articulate problem statements and can relate them to business and user value through KPIs
• Conduct research with customers and users on behalf of clients to drive new product and service development
• Plan and facilitate discovery workshops/ sessions bringing colleagues and client onboard in order to collaborate in the design process
• Make informed decisions about future services based on user and customer needs in line with technology constraints and business needs
• Support user testing and validation of prototypes and provide feedback and insights to UX/UI, Visual designers and Design researchers
• Actively develop our clients’ knowledge of the full range of service design techniques
• Confidently present your designs into board-level conversations

About you:

• Years of experience as a service designer working on a variety of complex projects
• Experience of working in an Agile/Lean UX environment with Designers, Developers, Business Stakeholders and Product Managers
• Experience in the education / public service, Financial service and / or Healthcare sector
• Practitioner level of competency across a wide range of design tools, design software, techniques, UX methodologies and processes. You have broad experience across the full design spectrum but deep specialist knowledge of Service Design and Service strategy
• High level of experience in planning and conducting user research
• Storytelling with experience crafting narratives for senior audiences and bringing them along with you
• Confident and experienced working with / managing senior stakeholders across various industries
• The ability to sketch and visualise ideas during both early and late stages of development
• Organised and self-motivated
• Experience from agency / consultancy is an advantage (but not a must). However, the ideal candidate must have worked in complex environments (and thrived).

Desirable but not essential

• Cognitive Psychology or behavioural science background
• Experience working with large orgs undergoing digital transformation
