We are now looking for an experienced Service Designer with UX expertise who is passionate about design-driven innovation and service development that supports Telenor’s social mission.
You will be a key person in a multidisciplinary product team with clear goals and end-to-end responsibility. You will work with insight, problem understanding and hypotheses, moving on to concept development, design and user testing – all the while focusing on learning.
You will be part of a strong professional environment at Telenor, consisting of more than 40 designers, but will have your daily work in an interdisciplinary team.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that solutions meet real customer needs, with good usability and consistent customer experiences. Finding the optimal balance between customer value, business value and technology opportunities.
- Lead design processes in a multidisciplinary team – from understanding the problem and needs, to exploring solutions, prototyping and validating them.
- Obtain and analyze insights through methods such as interviews, observations, data analysis and user testing – and translate the insights into concrete solutions.
- Facilitate workshops with users and internal stakeholders.
- Design and test concepts and solutions through prototypes or pilots.
- ·Mapping and design of customer/user journeys, both existing and visualization of what will be (Service Blueprints)
- Design and optimize holistic user flows across digital surfaces and ensure that the solution is intuitive, accessible and visually consistent. Use of Figma, Telenor’s design system and other relevant design tools and methods.
- Document and communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Implement services and solutions in digital systems and the organization
- Help create a culture of user-centered thinking driven by empathy, enthusiasm, and creativity
We are looking for you as:
- Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a designer.
- Has higher education in design.
- Has solid experience in facilitating user-centered design processes, with associated methods and tools.
- Has experience with innovation processes and development of new services
- Confident in gathering insights from customers and testing concepts
- Has strong skills in conceptualization, visualization and prototyping.
- Experience with designing user flows and interaction design in digital channels. Use of Figma, design systems and other relevant design tools and methods.
- Is committed to creating value for both the customer and the business, and has the ability to balance and translate customer and business needs into user-friendly solutions
- Have a good eye for detail, while being able to zoom out to see the big picture
- An implementer who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team with many different professionals, and who is a driving force for ideas and changes to be implemented.
- Are self-driven, solution-oriented and proactive, and actively seek opportunities to learn more and develop yourself, also outside your own area of responsibility.
- Has very good communication skills, both in Norwegian and English, written and oral.
- Have high integrity and ability to handle sensitive information; you must be able to obtain security clearance.
