Norwegian Health Network SF

Did you know that the Norwegian Health Network (NHN) creates the solutions where you get your coronary test results, symptom surveyor, official coronary information and maybe eventually also vaccine orders? We also create the solutions that connect your health information to the tools used by health professionals throughout Norway, both in hospitals, in ambulances, in emergency rooms, at GPs, at health stations and in nursing homes.

Do you also want to work on something important? You can do that with us.

The need for digital services in health has increased steadily over several years, but especially in the last year the pressure has exploded: Not only is the information hunger and pressure on the health care system enormous, but we should also limit physical contact and travel. We are creating more and more solutions that will connect health professionals and citizens in a suitable way and enable everyone to make better decisions without spending a lot of time finding the right, up-to-date and relevant information. Then we must create solutions that cover the users’ actual needs. User orientation is therefore one of NHN’s strategic focus areas.

We need more good service designers to help us speed up.

You will come to a nice bunch with around 15 employees who are already in full swing in the section Service design, insight and analysis.

We want diversity and encourage both experienced and newly qualified service designers to apply for a job with us.

Tasks

Your main task will be to increase the user orientation in our work via service design:

  • Help us solve the right tasks; observation and other insight work around our user groups
  • Map relevant stakeholders, systems, processes and touchpoints for the tasks we are to help solve
  • Identify weaknesses and possible solutions, visualize, communicate and document
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and more efficient use of digital tools in a complex use situation over time for residents, healthcare professionals, researchers or other user groups
  • Participate in needs mapping and concept development, as well as validating assumptions
  • Facilitate and carry out work shops, both digitally and physically
  • Turn needs and functional requirements into solution proposals with a focus on quality of use and a holistic user experience
  • Specify and prototype user journeys, work processes, services, communication flow and experience design in context, across channels and over time
  • Contribute to designing prototype and user-tested solution proposals and functional design in collaboration with domain specialists, functional architects, graphic designers and front-end developers
  • Collect and share documentation of own delivery
  • Contribute to further developing understanding of and use of service design in NHN and towards the health sector
  • Contribute to building and further developing our service design environment; you do not get to the covered table here, but you get to help build and cover it

Qualifications

  • Senior service designer: We are looking for experienced and highly skilled service designers with several years of experience as a service designer. You have a relevant education at a college / university within service design, system-oriented design, interaction design, design thinking, product design, industrial design or equivalent. You have an understanding of the complexity involved in working with the public sector, especially the health sector; flow between state and municipality, between regions, between agencies and between sectors.
  • Service Designer / Junior Service Designer: We are also looking for you with a few years of experience as a service designer and you who are a newly qualified service designer and who want to contribute to creating good services in a complex landscape.
  • We need both strategic and more operational service designers. We want you to describe your strengths and weaknesses, abilities and interests, preferably based on the work tasks described above. We do not expect you to be able to and love everything, but that you can reflect on what you enjoy doing.

We request that you in your application letter address the three sections above explicitly with reference to relevant parts of your CV.

Personal qualities

You are open, solution-oriented and like to collaborate with others. You dare to share both victories and mistakes – that’s what we learn from. You like to find your way around complexity and deal with different types of people and forms of communication. You are structured and can plan and carry out the work tasks described above.
