Service Designer

Do you want to be part of promoting the best user experiences that benefit Oslo’s residents? Every day, we in the Urban Environment Agency get to participate in exciting and socially beneficial projects and create solutions that make everyday life easier for the agency’s specialist departments and Oslo’s residents.

We at Digital Projects are responsible for business-related products used by the Urban Environment Agency’s employees, residents of Oslo and users elsewhere in Norway.

We work with projects both in the early concept phase and in the development phase. The Urban Environment Agency’s vision is to create an active, green, safe and beautiful city.

We contribute to this in digital projects by delivering products and projects to the professional communities and residents such as City Reporting, City Rentals, Micromobility (Electric Scooters), Urban Agriculture, Cars in Oslo and more.

The Section for Digital Projects consists of several cross-functional teams with expertise in service design, UI / UX, system development, testing, and project management.

We use flexible methodology and are concerned with a consistent and well-led design process where design thinking, user-driven approach and business understanding are in focus.

We strengthen our design team, and are looking for a skilled and committed designer in the span between service design and interaction design.

You will have an important role in the work of developing our digital services, contribute to complex concept development and participate in small and large digital projects.

Who are you and what do we expect from you?

You are a holistic and analytical person who tackles complex issues with the service design subject in the spinal cord.

You are confident in design processes with all aspects such as user insight, involvement, concept development and testing. You have many methods in your toolbox, and you are also welcome to use new tools / methods.

You share your knowledge, you are engaged in your subject and stay constantly updated on new trends both internally and externally.

You are motivated by creating good user experiences and connecting these to the values, needs and work of the company. You work smoothly and connect the analytical approach with insight and creativity.
