About the role 
Welcome to the heart of innovation! As the Lead Service Designer in the Healthcare Education (HE) Team, you will be accountable for driving a customer-centric vision and strategy for Laerdal’s solutions in Competency-based Education (CBE). This involves planning multiple streams of design sprints, research coordination, co-creation workshops with partners and customers in collaboration with the local sales organizations and facilitating strategic prioritization with leadership teams. You will work closely with the VP of Healthcare Education to foster alignment, insights sharing, and collaboration among designers and team leaders in Medical, Nursing, Midwifery Education and other teams working towards CBE.

Some of what you will be doing 
– Own the quality and visibility of all design deliverables across the Competency-based Education teams.
– Drive a customer-centric vision and strategy process and outcomes.
– Implement best-practice design processes and user research for tangible business opportunities.
– Strategize, oversee, define, and implement design and discovery processes.
– Foster a culture of learning and alignment among team members.
– Collaborate with senior leadership to conduct strategic assessments of business opportunities
– Identify and engage with key internal and external stakeholders.
– Conduct research at various development stages and lead co-creation sessions.
– Monitor market trends, document insights, and drive innovation projects.
– Mentor team members and enhance customer interactions.
– Cultivate and initiate partnerships in the CBE field.
– Proactively propose initiatives in line with the CBE vision.

Who we envision would fit the role 
– Master’s or above degree within design, strategy, or entrepreneurship.
– Minimum 8 years of relevant design experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
– Comfortable with early-stage projects and identifying business opportunities.
– Experienced in managing stakeholders and partner relationships.
– Systems thinker who balances business goals with customer needs.
– Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
– Enthusiastic and proactive, with a positive attitude and a willingness to take initiative.
