What’s the role
The purpose of the Service Designer is to support all design deliveries into our digital product, there will be a focus on UX, product and service-oriented deliveries as well as journey mapping and stakeholder management. You will be responsible for designing and delivering digital experiences. It will involve working alongside front-end developers, stakeholders and delivery teams across major change and digital execution activities.
To represent the customer at all stages of the BOI digital journey. The role will be responsible for putting the customer at the heart of our processes and challenging BOI to lead with a design first methodology.
This role will continue to support our evolving design process for the group and also own the collaboration space, stakeholder relationships, demand management, project set-up, reporting, and governance required for change delivery into our digital product.
Key Accountabilities
- advocate for users, conducting usability studies to inform the design
- be a strong team leader, a problem solver, and an individual contributor
- be a creator of prototypes, wireframes, functional specs, process/user flows, documentation
and more - present high-level concepts and strategies to business stakeholders
- have excellent organization and time management
- be fully aware of emerging technologies that can deliver rich, intuitive and engaging experiences
Location

This job can be done anywhere in Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin to which travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience in creating customer-oriented outcomes.
- Comprehension and understanding of digital technologies and how they impact experiences
Essential Skills & Experience
You will have 3+ years of design experience under your belt, including:
- creating prototypes, sitemaps, wireframes, and user flows
- applying and running user testing methodologies
- strong oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- experience in working with cross-functional teams
