The function
In this role, you create interventions for various social behavioral issues, with a focus on vaccination. You analyze the behavior of various target groups within Amsterdam and Amstelland and translate these insights into effective actions, improvements in communication and changes in the services offered by the GGD. You use design methods such as design thinking, user experience and process mapping, and gain valuable insights from the target group through interviews and focus groups. Within the Behavioral Unit, you work together with behavioral experts and design measures that stimulate behavioral change, always with the wishes and needs of the Amsterdammer as a starting point.
You investigate questions such as ‘Who is the (desired) user and what does the user encounter?’ and ‘How can we achieve the desired behavior?’. Using service design tools such as customer journeys, context mapping and system maps, you make opportunities and bottlenecks visible.
The role is flexible (16 hours per week), allowing you to combine it with another role or commitment. This gives you the freedom to balance work and private life, making the role extra attractive for those looking for a balance between professional and personal goals.
- You will work on projects to make the experience and interaction with GGD services as intuitive, smooth and pleasant as possible for Amsterdam residents, thereby improving communication, processes and services.
- You work on complex issues and translate insights into a clear and understandable story, using visual representation of information.
- You use methods such as customer journeys, user experience and process mapping to design behavioural change and provide advice.
- You organize and facilitate sessions with stakeholders and clients.
- You present results to the project group, client and stakeholders to decide together which intervention has the greatest impact.
- You develop insights into concepts, (prototypes of) services or products, interventions, policy and/or organizational advice.
- You process feedback to create a suitable behavioral intervention or strategy and ensure that it is implemented within the organization.
