Service Designer

Your assignment

As a web strategist/service designer, you will have an important role in designing and adapting the municipality’s digital presence so that the target groups experience the meeting easily, closely and inclusively. You contribute actively in our change work to develop efficient and user-centered working methods and forms of cooperation where our core values ​​of making a difference, working together and being innovative are taken care of.

You will run both smaller and larger web projects in collaboration with different skills in cross-functional teams. Together with the target groups, you develop the digital meeting with the municipality so that it meets the needs based on the situation they are in. The role also includes providing support and spreading knowledge and commitment to the organization in various web-related issues. You contribute to the maintenance of existing guidelines, guidelines and other support material and develop new ones when necessary. Some web publishing may also be included.

Your background

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in running complex web projects where you have collaborated with various businesses and competencies to ensure delivery. You also need to have experience with user-centered methods and working methods. As a basis, you have a college/university education or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. You also have good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written, are communicative and have the ability to visualize your message so that it is clear to the recipient.

To fit the role, it is important that you see how needs, content, structure and services are connected and find synergies between user and business goals. You can easily see the big picture and take the larger perspective into account, while being creative and daring to work for new ways of working and ways of working. As a person, you contribute to creating a pleasant climate and have very good cooperation skills where you communicate and relate to others in a responsive way. It is also important that you take responsibility for driving your work forward and achieving results, which requires you to be able to plan and organize your work.

• Experience of business development and change management in a larger organization.
• Experience with agile working methods.
• Experience in planning and leading workshops and trainings.
• Experience in developing prototypes and testing them with users.
• Good knowledge of working methods within service design and design thinking.
• Good working knowledge of web publishing tools.
• Good knowledge of digital accessibility, plain language and web analysis.

Welcome to the municipal management office. Here you work together with employees on staffs for communication, HR, IT, finance and real estate as well as the departments quality and planning, sustainability, safety, security and preparedness, the chancellery and the unit for external affairs and management support. The municipal management office also houses the organizations for business and destination as well as joint service. The municipal management office is the link between the decisions of our elected representatives and all of the municipality’s activities. Our mission is, among other things, to coordinate and drive overall issues within democracy, community and business development as well as ecological and social sustainability.
