We are focused on applying a variety of Service Design, Lean UX and Design Thinking methodologies to determine the needs of the Clients, Stakeholders and End-Users for creating solutions. The suitable applicant will help develop Nortal´s capabilities and services in Service Design and User Experience – including User-Centric Design, Service Innovation, Co-creation and workshop facilitation. Working with the projects according to the duties received from the direct manager or project manager, and his or her responsibilities and rights. You will be gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers.

Main obligations and areas of responsibility

      • Sales 
      • Recognise and anticipate Client needs and explore ways Nortal can help
      • Work with direct manager to break down and structure Clients’ issues and frame new projects.
      • Find new opportunities
      • Define and develop services, that Nortal can offer to Clients
      • Help in writing proposal drafts regarding service design methodology
      • Research & Analysis
      • Define business objectives
      • Plan, manage and conduct research
      • Map Customer’s and End-User experiences
      • Plan and facilitate collaboration workshops
      • Research contextually
      • Analyse research data to
      • –     uncover insights
      • –     identify opportunity and innovation areas
      • –     define the “real” problems that need solving
      • Plan and manage to validate research data and insights with quantitative research
      • Documentation & Briefing
      • Strategy
      • Debrief the Research data
      • Define customer centric focal questions to bring together customer needs and business objectives
      • Methodological brainstorming and idea generation
      • Define differentiation strategy for the system/service
      • Define measurable impact
      • –     what needs to be changed? How much? When?
      • Describe and visualize early system-service concepts based on identified opportunities and innovation areas
    • Create
    • Methodological brainstorming and idea generation
    • –     including future-driven service ideas based on future scenarios
    • Value creation and innovation
    • –     Service Innovation (incl. for already existing solutions)
    • –     Value Proposition
    • –     Business Model drafts
    • –     UX Concepts & features
    • –     Storytelling, Storyboards and pitching
    • Prototype
    • –     Work with designer on sitemaps, card sorting, etc
    • –     UX wireframes
    • Test & Validate
    • –     Stakeholder and end-user testing
    • –     Idea and feature validation

The skills the ideal candidate will possess:

      • Results
      • Effective teamwork and satisfied clients.
      • High-quality and profound documentation.
      • Work results are submitted on time and on a budget(assessments).
      • Time reporting and self-management
      • Knowledge of the field (methodology, standards) is documented and available.
      • Reporting to the direct manager according to internal standards.
      • Setting up KPI’s based on project and making a measurable impact.
      • Rights
      • Represent the company with the permission of the project manager or senior analyst within their field of responsibility, coordinating their communication with the standards prescribed in the company and sending a copy of their communication to the project manager;
      • Make decisions over the solution options within the standards determined in the contract (project) and applicable in the company;
      • Receive the information and training necessary for achieving their performance requirements;
      • Make suggestions for the introduction of new methodologies, standards and tools;
      • To constantly be up to date with the decisions made regarding the project’s management and project group and status of the project.
      • Responsibility
      • Obligation to protect the company’s assets (incl. methodologies and licensed development tool;
      • Obligation to comply with the data protection rules established in the company;
      • Obligation to use the professional and commercial information received from the client and comply with the client’s data protection requirements in strict compliance with the contract.
      • Requirements for the person filling the position
      • Prior professional experience or special training in the field.
      • Lean UX and design thinking methodologies used at least in 5 different projects.
      • Prior experience in managing web-based projects.
      • Understanding of the client’s commercial activity and needs, user-driven, analytical and systematic thinking.
      • Very good communication, justification and argumentation ability.
    • Language skills
    • Knowledge of conversational and written level English.
