Lead Service/UX Designer

Focusing on developing end-to-end services that meet user need and enable business outcomes, this is an exciting new role showing the growth and drive of UKEFs digital ambition.
This role will lead the service designers and researchers in UKEF, leading the research and service design approach for products and services across the organisation to meet our users’ need and business goals.

Main Activities
• work with Service Owners, Product Managers and User Researchers to produce and develop design concepts, re-using common component design patterns from across government where
appropriate
• implement design concepts into practical working prototypes to test with users
• lead the service design and user research approach for existing service and new services, identifying appropriate strategies, methods, and audiences
• set direction and embed good practice within teams for products and services they are working on
• represent service design, user experience and user research for UKEF at cross-government and internal assessments against the Service Standard
• lead on accessibility, user centred design and assisted digital for projects and services
• set direction, assure the quality of design delivery across teams and lead multiple or highly complex services
• be able to interpret evidence-based research and incorporate this into your work
• line manage 2 User Researchers and 1 Service Designer
