Smart Service Designer

The role of Smart Service Designer is new and under development. We are looking for someone who takes initiative and who can work with different disciplines. You are a facilitator, translator and builder. You enjoy working with legal content and making it accessible to customers.

In ARAG’s Legal Tech Studio we work together with lawyers on the development of digital services to make legal knowledge accessible in an interactive and personalized way. To accelerate our activities in this area, we are looking for a Smart Service Designer who will build and implement these services. At the moment we use a combination of a low-code platform and tools such as MIRO and the challenge is to further optimize both the development processes and tools. The basis of these services is formed by decision trees and creating these decision trees requires a combination of logic, customer focus and low-code programming experience.

In the role of Smart Service Designer you work together with lawyers, build services in a low-code platform and improve them together with the team based on customer feedback. Your activities consist of:

• Structuring legal content in question and answer processes and decision trees

• Translating the legal decision tree into a technical design

• Low-code development: building the Smart Service in a low-code platform

• Improving the Smart Service based on experiment results and usage data

• Support with the integration of the low-code platform into existing ARAG IT infrastructure

• Relationship management with an external supplier of the low-code platform

In addition, you help to further professionalize and integrate these Smart Services in ARAG:

• You improve the current working method

• You determine how the various services can be managed

• You ensure that the use of the services is measurable and you share this data in an accessible manner

Job requirements

You have a relevant education at university or higher professional education level. Suitable profiles are for example: Industrial Design, (Business) Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Business IT & Management or Innovation Management. You also have experience with:

• The Lean Start-up method: you focus on the customer and user data, you facilitate experiments and you proactively think about improvements

• Multi-stakeholder projects: you can work well with different disciplines and have good social and communication skills

• Developing online services

• Working with no-code or low-code platforms

• (Visual) modeling techniques for processes and workflows
