DesignThinkers has been one of the leading agencies in the field of Service Design and Design Thinking internationally for almost fifteen years. We are located in the center of Amsterdam and have colleagues in 25 countries where our brand is represented. Our core business  is to implement Service Design and Design Thinking as a new way of working to take innovation within organizations to a higher level.

For our head office in Amsterdam we are immediately looking for an energetic Service Designer

What are you going to do?

As a Service Designer you will work on the many (international) projects for DesignThinkers and the labels DesignThinkers Academy , DesignThinkers Agency  and Design Thinking Conference.

You divide your time between supporting our partners in developing services and training and converting exciting customer questions into project proposals. Of course, keeping these projects on the right track is also part of your duties.

You also enjoy immersing yourself in the content and writing articles and blogs about it.

For this position, organizational skills are of great importance, as are relationship management skills and a large dose of humor and enthusiasm.

The following responsibilities fall under the duties of the Service Designer:

• Develop opportunities at customers and convert them into projects;
• Making project proposals;
• Coordinating in-company training courses and projects at our (international) customers;
• Develop new service propositions together with your colleagues.

The following qualities, skills and experience are important to us:

• Minimum HBO work, thinking and experience level;
• At least 5 years of experience in Service Design Thinking, including a number of years on the desk side
• Commercial and proactive in creating opportunities;
• Astute and professional in project planning and management;
• More than average interest in writing and creating content about Service Design Thinking (in both Dutch and English);
• Affinity with creativity and innovation;
• Communicative, curious and full of initiatives;
• Hands-on and accurate.

We assume that you set your own priorities and plan your time accordingly. Just like taking your responsibility when it comes to completing your work. There is plenty of room for initiative, but we do expect you to take the lead yourself.
