Reporting to the Mid Business Designer, you are a strategist that understands client needs and how complex systems impact people’s behavior, empathizing with the user to connect the dots between business needs and further opportunities through insights gained from primary and secondary research, data, and strong analytical thinking.

Your superpower is the ability to use your creativity and analytics knowledge to explore solutions to a variety of problems by using a user-centric approach, tackling the design and prototyping phases of projects, and bringing to life compelling business transformation cases that improve people’s lives.

Once here you will…

  • Support solving business problems end-to-end, from identifying user needs to the final product/service model concept.
  • Work with tools to support project development from an analytical perspective: e.g. Business intelligence tools.
  • Implement design research on projects which include defining research goals, then frame and design necessary research activities – including quantitative research – to help empathize with users to achieve those research goals.
  • Execute the business design process on projects which includes building creative/business modeling frameworks, brainstorming new businesses/service experience concepts, designing and visualizing those concepts in order to best communicate to the team and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct secondary research, including trend benchmarking and competitor analysis.
  • Collaborate with other designers, developers, and researchers to bring integrated and holistic value to our clients.

Does this sound like you?

  • You have recently completed (1-2 years) a university degree in industrial engineering, business, marketing, economics, or related numeric/analytic oriented disciplines.
  • 1 year experience in analytical areas (Business Intelligence, finance, marketing services, etc.)
  • You are a strong communicator (verbal and written, proficient in English and Spanish) skilled in storytelling, pitch development, etc.
  • You are curious and passionate about learning new things yet remain humble and ambitious for growth opportunities.
  • You are always willing to help and add value with a readiness to jump in and work with a diverse group of people and spearhead brainstorms and conversations.
  • You are organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to work autonomously in a demanding environment.
  • You achieve objectiveness through data, facts, and analytics to ensure business design projects execution, providing grounded solutions and added value connected with a strong business and strategic holistic vision.
  • You are proficient in excel and other numerical tools. e.g., Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Power BI, etc.
  • You feel comfortable working with a variety of disciplines and methods:
    • Design Thinking + Human-Centered Design
    • Process oriented and methodic
    • Basic knowledge of other user research, ethnography, and discovery methods
    • Business Model Canvas
    • General understanding of quantitative research methodologies (surveys)
    • Basic financial skills
    • Capacity to work with data and analytics to find patterns that support the design of models as well as proposals that solve client needs
