About the job

Tållbeard is an agency for experience innovation from Berlin, with a focus on research, design and transformation. We have been around since 2016, so we are still a start-up and are constantly developing.

We are a growing interdisciplinary team of currently 20 employees. We are ambitious and are looking for people who are curious and who are interested in building up and organizational development – those who are looking for a work environment that they can help shape – to create a work environment in which they would like to stay.

We have identified the personal development of our employees as a strategically important goal. And we are continuously working on a solution that helps us to create a meaningful solution with personal and team goals in mind.

You can work with us both remotely and on location (Berlin, Cologne, Hanover) – and we are at the cutting edge of technology when it comes to working in decentralized teams.

We have 2 user research laboratories with the latest technology from biometric research and we are currently building the standard living room for Germans. In order to develop and test products and services, also in the context of TV or Smart Home.

We work on exciting product-service systems, research and (further) development of projects. And that with customers from different industries. This allows you to get a taste of different industries and compare your learnings from the different contexts, as well as identify context-specific and universal patterns.

YOU SHOULD BRING THAT WITH YOU

– You have successfully completed a degree with a focus on service design, design research or interaction design.

– You have already made your first experiences in industry, be it through various internships, first agency / industry experiences or cooperation projects between your university and the real working environment.

– You are on top of yourself with the Open Work Approach and have no problems working openly – internally, as well as with customers and other actors in the system.

– You communicate openly and clearly (sharing knowledge and insights, explaining design basics, building a common understanding, etc.). And you can translate the technical and design language into one language for business and users.

– You have a basic understanding of the different disciplines that are involved in the (further) development of a service and understand the importance of collaborative cooperation.

– You know that design is a process and you are familiar with different approaches, tools and methods.

– You have made your first experiences with agile work and have already worked with agile tools.

– You can identify user and (business) stakeholder needs through research. You can use the collected results to create a convincing storyline and present it in an easily understandable manner in words and visualization.

– You understand how to use quantitative and qualitative data in order to make the user focus tangible with artifacts such as customer journey maps, personas, service blueprints, etc.

– You appreciate evidence-based decisions and have no problems convincing others with decisions. And you also have no problem with questioning your decisions and let yourself convince with valid arguments.

– You can contribute to the development of experience visions and develop strategies to implement them.

– You understand the value of product / service prototypes, both digitally and in real space. Ideally, you are also familiar with different service prototyping techniques.

– Since you know that technologies and society are constantly changing, you keep yourself up to date and you are ready to question and further develop your design approach.

– You can show us how to work efficiently and goal-oriented.

– Your portfolio and your projects show us how you work and what you value.

– You speak very good German but don’t have to be a native speaker. And you have a very good command of English.

Sound like you Great!

It is important to us that you also find yourself in our company philosophy.

OUR COMPANY PHILOSOPHY

We are aware that price, product portfolio and technology alone no longer represent a strategic competitive advantage. A company must constantly improve its customer touchpoints, drive innovations inside and outside the company, while keeping an eye on global competition in order to keep up with the market.

We support you with design, development and research along the customer journey. Our work principles focus on the efficiency and quality of work for our customers as well as responsibility for people and the environment. Our demands on quality and ambition level are high – we compare ourselves on the market on a global level. We learn and iterate in efficient cycles in order to promote innovations quickly, effectively and effectively (impact) – together as a team.

We are looking for employees who are interested in promoting issues both with customers and internally. We have bumblebees up our asses – hopefully you do too.
