Senior Service Designer

As a Senior Service Designer at Achilles Design you get the opportunity to tackle such challenges. You help our customers by analyzing and (re)designing the concepts, experiences and processes behind their services.

Job description:

As a Senior Digital Product Designer, your days are filled with challenging tasks:

• You design the experience for new or existing services using prototypes and scenarios.
• You take charge of projects and are the first point of contact for clients of a service design. You also know how to communicate ideas, concepts and opinions and you can align or convince multiple stakeholders.
• You coordinate a balanced planning and workload, and where necessary you strengthen the team with external partners.
• You plan and lead workshops with customers, stakeholders and partners, as part of the discovery, analysis or design of new services.
• You help customers gain a better understanding of user needs and the competitive landscape.
• You create customer journeys, personas, storyboards, everything needed to communicate smoothly with clients and your team.
• You translate the solution into a blueprint with which the customer can start an implementation. You provide recommendations based on your strategic, operational and technical knowledge.
• You follow up on your team members, coach them, motivate them and adjust them where necessary.

Your profile:

• You are fluent in Dutch and French (required) and you can express yourself well in English.
• You have a master’s degree in one or more of the following domains: service design, industrial design, interaction design, media & information design, user research, UX/UI, psychology or behavioral economics.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Digital Designer, Business Designer or Customer Experience Design. Experience as a consultant or in an agency is a plus.
• You have a thorough knowledge of service design and user-oriented design.
• You have experience in coordinating and managing projects and teams. You are no stranger to physical or digital product development.
• You can easily prioritize and handle multiple projects at the same time.
• You have experience in guiding and facilitating workshops.
• You have a good portion of empathy and provide extra drive and motivation in your team.
