Senior Service Designer

About The RoleVictoria Legal Aid (VLA) is seeking a Senior Service Designer to provide service design expertise and support to projects and initiatives in our First Nations Services team.This is a newly created position that is in support of activity aimed at improving VLA’s service delivery to First Nations people. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders specifically First Nations employees and community-controlled organisations in designing, delivering and reviewing practices to better embed a First Nations perspective on all aspects of our work.You will also provide technical design expertise and assist in implement and maintaining high quality realistic and achievable work plans. • Demonstrated experience collaborating with First Nations communities, including an understanding of cultural norms, communication styles and complex issues experienced by First Nations people.
• Strong project management skills and experience managing end-to-end service design, including the generation of journey maps, service blueprints and use of appropriate research methodologies and ethical frameworks.
• Highly developed communication, change management and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, influence, communicate and consult with a diverse stakeholder group.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and initiatives in a government, health, community services or legal context.
