Keolis Downer is the proud operator of Yarra Trams, the oldest and largest light rail network in the world. Since 2009, Keolis Downer has significantly invested in Melbourne’s tram network and community.

As the operator of Yarra Trams, we bring our international expertise to Melbourne to ensure we deliver safer, more reliable passenger services and performance, while increasing the value of the tram network for Melburnians and the thousands of visitors to our city every day.

To support this, Yarra Trams is looking for an experienced Service Designer to design new or modify existing tram timetables, drivers shifts and rosters, alongside analysis and reporting to meet the needs of Yarra Trams as a whole.

  • Designing new or modify existing crew solutions and/or driver rosters, while adhering to specified constraints and/or obligations;
  • Liaising/consulting with depot management, roster committees and/or union representatives as required, including attending meetings at any of Yarra Trams’ depots;
  • Contributing to new or reviewing of existing policy and procedure documentation of the Master Timetable (MTT) team.

  • Experience in customer focussed services;
  • Experience using Hastus (or similar scheduling software);
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex problems;
  • Advanced computer skills in the MS Office suite (such as Excel, including macros) and Hastus or other scheduling software.
