At Mibanco, the microfinance bank of the Credicorp Group, we are seeking a passionate, analytical individual with big ideas to make an impact on the lives of micro and small entrepreneurs in the country by joining our team as: Senior Service Designer.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostics to generate new business opportunities or improve the experience of existing businesses.
- Identify tactical and strategic opportunities related to assigned projects, creating a memorable value proposition and a consistent end-to-end experience.
- Translate and deliver proposals and services according to the assignment: business challenge, target audience profile, diagnosis, insights, design principles, opportunity areas, value proposition, and business model.
- Identify and support opportunities for synergy and efficiency within assigned projects, as well as with other areas, systems, or processes of the bank and the Credicorp Group.
- Influence business decision-making based on customer needs, value proposition, and business model through collaboration with multifunctional teams and C-level executives.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Industrial Design, UX Design, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Administration, Communication, Marketing, or related fields.
- 4–6 years of experience as a Service Designer.
- Demonstrated experience in designing user experiences, focusing on Journeys and Service Blueprints.
- Experience leading service design projects, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in generating business models (desirable).
- Qualitative Research – Intermediate: Prior knowledge and experience executing and analyzing qualitative research inputs (in-depth interviews, guerrilla testing, field observation, diaries, etc.).
- Quantitative Research – Basic/Intermediate: Prior knowledge and experience designing, executing, and/or monitoring quantitative projects, analyzing results, incorporating them into broader analysis, and conducting or requesting additional data cross-checks as needed; validated experience with PL/SQL.
- Service Design – Intermediate/Advanced: Ability to take a systemic view of problems and opportunities. Must understand and create service blueprints, user personas, and ecosystems.
- Behavioral Design – Basic/Intermediate: Prior knowledge and experience applying behavioral design, understanding how incentives and barriers affect behavior.
- Storytelling: Experience creating high-impact, clear, and actionable presentations, successfully presenting to diverse audiences (including C-level and other stakeholders).
- Sustainability & Accessibility – Basic: Knowledge of environmental/ecological impact, responsible and efficient practices, and inclusive design to ensure products and services are accessible.
- Tools: Figma (Basic), Miro/Mural/FigJam, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Intermediate/Advanced).
- Desirable tools: AI, SQL, Maze, Optimal Workshop.
- Desirable English level B1/B2 – Intermediate written and spoken (for training).
