Your challenge

You work on improving customer journeys, such as the private driving license (theory and practical) and the instructor journey, translating bottlenecks in processes, communication, and systems into concrete service concepts and improvements. To arrive at a design, you speak with stakeholders from the divisions, organize and lead workshops, and use design thinking as a methodology. In this way, you engage in dialogue with customers and instructors to translate their experiences into new designs. In collaboration with the UX designers, you ensure the improvement of the customer experience. You work in a multidisciplinary team where you play a key role in translating insights from customer research and data into a new or improved design. You build support for your ideas and design-oriented thinking but are also flexible by keeping the interests of your stakeholders in mind.

What else are you going to do?

As a Service Designer:

  • Convert customer needs into service prototypes.
  • Provide your recommendations regarding the final (re)design of customer-oriented service delivery.
  • Share your recommendations with internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor your progress on implementation recommendations.
  • You advise and support the customer journey manager regarding the content and approach to service design proposals.
  • Support your divisions in designing new products or modifying existing ones.
  • Bring your internal stakeholders together to arrive at new insights and designs.
  • Maintain an overview and contribute to the application of a design-oriented working method.

Who are you?

You have a customer-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, and no difficulty setting priorities. Thanks to your strong command of qualitative (user) research skills, you are able to gain even more insight. You collaborate well but also make independent decisions and do not shy away from taking responsibility. Furthermore, you are accustomed to working in a multidisciplinary environment to achieve a successful result together.

You have

  • A completed CMD or design education at HBO/WO level.
  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in agile and project-based working.
  • A highly developed organizational awareness and sensitivity.
  • Experience with UX design and Design Thinking.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Adobe Suite & Figma fully at your fingertips.
