Position summary:

NovuHealth is seeking a Service Designer to join our growing Engagement Experience & Design team. You’re the right candidate if you are experienced in—or want to gain experience in—contributing to the full UX research and design process. You are intrigued by the big challenges facing healthcare today and want to help the people caught in the middle of them. You’re interested in the “why” and the “how” behind the “what” of your designs— how business priorities and user research inform experience strategy, which in turn informs the design decisions you’ll make that shape NovuHealth’s digital products and services. In this role you will reporting into our Director of Engagement Experience & Design.

Why we need you:

You will regularly execute on the following:

User research: qualitative and quantitative, including multiple methodologies and experience leading research projects end-to-end
Usability analysis
Information architecture
Visual design
Prototyping
Interaction design
Workshop and interaction facilitation
Understanding of HTML and how to use content hierarchy to effectively communicate with text
You will regularly develop, represent, and maintain the following within your project teams:

User knowledge artifacts (personas, journey maps, empathy diagrams, and user stories)
Heuristic and experience analysis
Sitemaps and information architecture, including understanding of HTML
Ability to ideate and implement designs using a component library
Workflows, process flows, task diagrams, and user stories
Detailed interaction designs, prototypes, and specifications – including utilization of current design standards patterns and Familiarity with design systems
Usability research and analysis
You will regularly contribute to the development, maintenance, and presentation of the following:

User research and analysis
Experience strategy
Vision artifacts (storyboards, diagrams, and scenarios)
Product and feature prototypes, pilots, and in-market tests
Key performance indicators and metrics
The NovuHealth design system
The NovuHealth user knowledge base

Is an advocate and champion for user research, accessibility, and human-centered design
Understands the usefulness of constraints and can work within and appropriately challenge them
Is able to work within a strategic context and communicate how day-to-day activities roll up to the organization’s strategic goals
Has a mid-level understanding of the social and technological context underlying the ecosystem and design of healthcare services
Has experience working on an agile team and an awareness of how design can fit in and contribute to this process
Has a basic understanding and appreciation for the function and purpose of all roles within product design and development teams
Has at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
