The Principal Service Designer is a high-profile role that includes both design research, exploration, testing and execution of the design intent. The Principal Service Designer is a member of the Global Design Team, is a partner for the business group design leads and works closely with the business and functional teams and suppliers. The candidate shall lead major projects, work cross functionally, mentor junior employees in service design and have a compelling and diverse portfolio of past service design project work.

  • Design the future of services for Logitech

  • Understand and contribute to all phases of the design process

  • Craft beautiful details, while keeping the bigger picture in mind

  • Provide service design team leadership and have the ability to run design projects solo

  • Complete design research, exploration, testing and execution of the design intent.

  • Communicate in a clear and compelling manner throughout projects to cross-functional teams, business group and functional group leaders

  • Develop new service design capabilities and solutions both internally at Logitech and with external suppliers

  • Work in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment while working closely with colleagues in the Global Design Team both locally and internationally

  • Occasionally travel overnight nationally and internationally

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in service design

  • Well-versed in human-centered design methods and techniques

  • Strong portfolio of cutting edge service design that proves not only solid design skills but forward-thinking

  • Experience executing design intent in B2B and B2C across physical and digital channels including CX in customer support channels

  • Excellent skills in design research, ideation, journey mapping,  concept visualization, prototyping, blueprinting and building this into strategy level concepts and project level workstreams and requirements

  • Excellent visual, UX and service design software skills, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc.

  • Highly driven and proactive self-starter – taking on a project without much context and driving it through to execution

  • Collaborates well in a multi-disciplinary design environment

  • Excellent creative, critical thinking and communication skills, working with and presenting to colleagues and management throughout all stages of the design process

  • Willingness to take direction and learn from others

  • Optimistic outlook – we are creating the future after all
