Role Description
This is a volunteer remote role for a User Experience/ Service Designer. The User Experience/ Service Designer will be responsible for designing user experiences and services across digital and physical channels in order to help Supply Unchained reach a wider audience and improve the effectiveness and usability of our platform and services. As this is a volunteer role, the successful candidate will be expected to work with minimum supervision and report to the Chief Technical Officer and Product Manager.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a UX/Service Designer or similar role
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field
- Excellent knowledge of user-centred design methodology and principles
- Experience with design software such as Sketch, Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience designing wireframes using Figma
- Awareness and knowledge of UX wireframe best practices; including what makes a UI complete, usable, accessible, responsive, dynamic and well formatted
- Experience with UX research methodologies, such as surveys, user interviews, and usability testing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Experience with software development and website development is a plus
- Experience with social impact/charity/volunteering organisations is a plus
