Are you ready to play a pivotal role in reshaping the future through the power of data? Join our diverse team in Weybridge as a Service Designer, collaborating closely with the Head of Strategic Projects for Digital Transformation.

The mission of this team is to facilitate the acceleration of management decision-making based on centralised data.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering on the Digital Transformation objective to use innovative technologies to drive our ongoing digital transformation. With significant data integration and governance initiatives in flow it is now possible to transform our ways of working by fully exploiting our rich and coordinated data sources. You will play a crucial role in delivering this innovation by understanding the customer needs, collaborating and co-designing data services and ensuring adoption through workshops and testing.

In this role you will collaborate with other Digital Transformation areas including AI & Automation, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Data Governance, Platform and Operational Solutions and Services. You will be working with other data focused units in Sony Europe, and across the Sony organisation, and you will ensure we follow standard methodologies learned from these groups and proactively share our findings and develop opportunities for collaboration.

You Will

  • Service Design: Use service design practices to structure transformation projects introducing core service design concepts such as Double Diamond, Co-design and User Centred Design as appropriate.
  • Design thinking: Evangelise the use of design thinking in Sony, emphasising prototype driven development and user feedback.
  • User Research: Help us understand our complex processes, pain points and customer journeys through effective in-depth research.
  • Engage and collaborate with key team members, including through cross-discipline workshops and brainstorming to develop and improve services.

You will bring

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in service design or related design practices.
  • Deep understanding of key service design practices such as User Centred Design, User Journey Mapping, Workshop planning, User Research, Storyboarding etc.
  • Experience in facilitating transformation, especially in large and complex organisations.
  • Familiarity in Agile development
  • Awareness of new technologies for innovation in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Business Intelligence.
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills with ability to successfully handle and prioritise numerous time pressured analytical activities / projects. Capable of leading performance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and influentially both verbally & in writing
  • Fluent in English
