Senior Service Integration Designer

What you’ll do

This role will be part of the team responsible for the ground-up development and implementation of a new secure infrastructure management platform, providing critical Telco PaaS/SaaS, and services needed for the management of Sky’s Telco infrastructure.

• Convert requirements into end-to-end solutions and high/low-level designs that deliver business and technical compliance against Telcom Security Act standards.
• Understand business flows, information flows, and protocols and express them in HLD/LLDs in sufficient detail for the SecDevOps team to implement.
• Have an automation focused mindset to produce designs that are compatible with a CI/CD automated build process.
• Collaborate with a cross functional team of Architects, group security teams, Project managers, SecDevOps engineers to identify key milestones and input into setting out project timelines.
• Have a proven track record in system integration design for on-prem and Public Cloud – and undertand the benefits and drawbacks of each.
• Ensure security policies are adhered to in every system integration design.
• Communicate design approaches and recommendations effective to gain stakeholder approvals and agreements.
• Engage actively in vendor RfP process by providing a detailed set of technical capabilities and scoring vendor capabilities

What you’ll bring

• Extensive experience in system integration design on private and public cloud (specifically AWS).
• Knowledge of VMware, VRA and Container Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) – SaaS, IaaS, PaaS.
• Web Application security, Vulnerability management: Application Firewalls, SEIM, DLP.
• Programming and/or script development experience (Eg Python and Terraform)
• Implement new automation code for server, applications, configurations and cloud management (Python or other types of scripting)
• Knowledge of networking technologies, devices and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, DNS, SMTP).
• Experience working in an Agile environment using Jira ticketing.
• Proven experience creating technical user stories and message sequence diagrams.
• Knowledge of current Software Engineering practices (particularly requirements analysis and traceability matrices).
