Job Purpose:

Service Design is the multidisciplinary craft of tying together human, digital, and physical interactions over time to create a truly differentiated experience for our customers.

We’re looking for a curious problem solver who’s fascinated by how things work and how people behave, who’s not afraid of unravelling complex systems, considering interactions holistically, across all channels and touchpoints, to look for opportunities for greater efficiencies and, ultimately, help create world-class experiences not only for our customers but also our fellow employees.

You must love collaborating with like-minded people who are also passionate about innovation and who leave their egos at the door, happy to embrace vulnerability, always striving to learn and focused on collective success as we build out our Service Design capability.

You will have individual ownership and responsibility of one of our core service areas and help create and maintain product, experience and technological enhancements within FS Digital, ensuring that the backlog of work reflects the best knowledge available and working with the development team to identify and remove any uncertainties or lack of clarity of work items. You will also support engineers and automation testers to define appropriate automated tests to ensure that the product meets the needs of the customer without compromising on quality.

For the right individual with a passion for new technology, this role will provide direct experience of how technology can transform business operations and create innovative wealth management services within an Agile environment.

  • Documenting and communicating results to a range of stakeholders
  • Ensuring relevant SMEs and practitioners are engaged
  • Presentation of strawman solutions to decision makers to facilitate rapid and disciplined final decision making based on available information
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimisation strategies
  • Consideration of legacy business requirements
  • Alignment with overall project objectives whilst keeping in line with Agile methodologies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience of working within a development team and scrum environment
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to quickly gain the technical, behavioural and contextual elements of a project
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
