Process/Service Designer

As a result of continued growth, Cartesian is now looking for exceptional Process Designers or Service Designers to join our Telecoms delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for post-graduate telecoms/ technology professionals to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking company that is committed to delivering excellence. Ideally you will have gained experience within telecoms providers or have worked as a consultant on technology programmes on their behalf, and you are now looking to use that experience across diverse and challenging areas.
Desired skills and experience:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience within the telecommunications industry, coupled with excellent knowledge of its relevant applications and processes
- Experience of ‘hands-on’ technical project delivery gained within a customer-facing environment, with specific exposure to process design, service design or solution design .
- Excellent customer facing presentation and influencing skills; good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and analyse potential problems and risks
- Ability to establish good working relationships with both internal teams and external partners
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum)

- Highly adaptable individual, technology-oriented generalist, passionate about knowledge and advancement of one’s own qualifications
- Confident self-starter, able to work under broad supervision and organise one’s own efforts in a way that delivers value to the customer within the agreed budget and timeframe
- Good communicator, able to establish ties with various levels of customer organisations, adjusting the type of message to the audience at all times
- Structured thinker, seeking to establish goals, objectives and guiding principles, able to measure oneself and the team against them
- Highly accountable for one’s own actions, suggestions and recommendations, with strong sense of personal responsibility and its impact on customer confidence
- Engaging personality, able to capture others’ attention, discuss, debate, run workshops, solidify rules of engagement and business requirements
Other requirements:
- Comfortable with travel and working on customer sites, sometimes embedded within customer teams, including commuting across the UK and overseas within EMEA and occasionally beyond for up to 5 days a week
- Willing to undergo BS, CTC or SC Clearance, depending on circumstances and eligibility
