Service Designer

We are looking for an experienced Service Designer to join our London office.

Educated to degree level, or similar, with an exceptional creative portfolio, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK and have worked for 4+ years, ideally with experience of working with digital experiences as well as physical environments.

The work carried out by a Service designer at tangerine will vary considerably year after year, from crafting service design blueprints for global museums to redesigning the entire customer journey for airline experiences.  We are looking for a service designer that enjoys working on multidisciplinary teams and a broad range of work.

This role will include:

• meeting with clients to establish the design brief and working with tangerine leadership to refine proposals and approaches;

• planning, organising and designing user research and relevant design inspiration excursions to inspire the entire design team;

• capturing observations, quotes and learnings and synthesising them into insights and clear design-led opportunities;

• working on ideas as part of a team and developing design concepts using design software of choice;

• sketching initial design ideas and evolving them with team members into rounded propositions and then the development of the proposition into a final defined concept;

• taking part in specialist or multidisciplinary team meetings;

• producing presentations for design projects, internal projects and tangerine marketing;

• conducting user testing, capturing the feedback and evolving the design concept with the team;

• researching trends, market requirements and new technologies;

• when permitted by Governments, traveling to clients’ in the UK and around the world;

• being able to proactively manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment;

• making presentations to senior design management or clients, either when bidding for a contract or to present design proposals.

Experience:

A broad designer that enjoys working on multidisciplinary teams across a variety of industry sectors. Ideally, you will have a BA in a relevant design discipline and an MA in Service Design.
