Principal Service Designer

We are looking to hire a Principal Service Designer to join our team in London. (Hybrid) Role summary Our user-centred approach keeps us passionate about delivering to our customers what they need. We are focused on designing the most beautiful, accessible, and valuable experiences in complex financial systems. The Principal Service Designer will join our multi-disciplinary team working on professional financial & risk platforms, products and services across web, desktop and mobile with a specific focus on our finance communities. Our best service designers champion user-needs in their work, bringing project partners and team members with them to help deliver intuitive and innovative experiences. What you’ll be doing: work as a leading member of a multi-disciplinary design squad, following lean and agile service design methodologies uncover new and innovative design solutions that address the very particular user needs develop a deep understanding of our customers, their needs, behaviours, desires, and bring that insight into the heart of all solutions be comfortable delivering in a sophisticated partner environment and leading on a wide range of large engagements have excellent storytelling and communication skills You’ll bring: a passion for solving complex problems and a desire to make people’s lives easier a degree in design or a relevant field, and/or significant experience. We do appreciate there are ways into service design outside of formal education. Whatever the route you’ve taken, you should have a firm grip on your field’s body of knowledge as well as the wider service design and product delivery practice a long history of successfully delivering project work within the professional financial or similarly complex enterprise industries demonstrable experience in a similar role and able to show evidence of how service design affects the approach to product design strong empathy, collaboration, and communication skills with evidence of guiding as a Principal Service Designer and able to contribute at a team level
