Service Designer

About the role:
You work simultaneously in 1 to 3 different projects from small to large. You act independently and are able to include the customer in the design process. Together with your colleagues, you strive for support and impact on strategic, tactical and operational levels among our customers. You also actively participate in acquisition activities and internal improvement initiatives and thus contribute to the overall success of our customers, our company and our employees.
What you will do:
- Realization of service design projects:
- Independently conducting customer, stakeholder and expert research:
- preparing, planning, executing and documenting research
- preparing and facilitating workshops
- participate in synthesis activities and develop them
- Participate in the development of new ideas, concepts and strategies:
- applying the Livework methods, tools and approach
- drafting concepts, journeys, blueprints and strategies
- developing and testing prototypes
- making presentations and reports
- advise on the next steps to ensure a sustainable impact
- Independently conducting customer, stakeholder and expert research:
- Helping our clients in their transformation journeys to develop sustainable services or customer-centric skills:
- developing company-wide lifecycle and journey architecture, roadmaps and capabilities
- coaching, training and guiding customer teams and individual employees
- contribute to interventions to ensure buy-in and involvement of stakeholders
- Contribute to the growth and development of our studio:
- support in drawing up customer proposals
- participate in internal improvement initiatives
- develop own skills and knowledge that are relevant to our customers and our company
About you:
- 2-4 years work experience
- The ability to work both independently and in close co-creation with others.
- Great interpersonal skills: the ability to develop good work and customer relationships and make a positive contribution to the well-being of yourself and others.
- Interest in people and the ability to interact with them with curiosity and empathy for research purposes; the ability to get people talking.
- Strong conceptual and visual skills; able to think conceptually, create and visualize concepts, and convey these ideas to others.
- “Mentally agile”; you are able to analyse, ‘reframe’ and think on both a holistic and detailed level. You work in a customer-oriented way and you can deal with deadlines.
- Ability to facilitate and lead ‘on stage’ groups at workshops, trainings and lectures.
- The ability to organize one’s own work efficiently, deliver the desired quality within the set budget and prioritize tasks when the situation calls for it. You are able to raise risks and escalate them when necessary.
- Proficient in various software packages. We mainly use G-suite and Adobe CS, but the ability to quickly learn new digital tools is a plus.
- Willing and able to travel outside the Netherlands for projects
- Fluent Dutch and English writing is a must. Another language is an advantage.
- The papers to live and work in the Netherlands.
