The role
As Synechron, we focus exclusively on Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance, and therefore, bring to our clients a deep knowledge of the challenges, operations, and best practices in their industry. As a Senior Service Designer, we believe you need to be passionate about design thinking and excel in a multitude of different disciplines with an excellent working knowledge of others. Bringing in a diverse and passionate approach, you’ll be a strategic and empathetic thinker who can craft services based on deep user understanding.
You’ll contribute to various outputs on projects which will range from stakeholder workshops, research and service definition.
A Senior Service Designer at Synechron you’ll get to work with various digital experts and grow your career further alongside leaders and colleagues across our global community. You’ll be a part of mapping and implementing meaningful services for various types of users.
- Collaborative approach between teams, delivering digital output of the highest quality
- Leading research on both qualitative and quantitative methods
- Working with the client to extract requirements and educate on design thinking
- Synthesis of research into tangible outputs played back in a consumable manner
- Articulating and presenting creative ideas to teams and clients
- Maintaining high standards and ensuring only the best work is released to the client
- Working closely with senior staff to improve your skills in all areas of digital
- Staying on track with emerging design trends (events and community engagement)
Requirements
- Over 4+ years’ experience in a similar role, within the financial services industry preferred
- Workshop facilitation
- Planning and execution of service design outputs; blueprint mapping, journey mapping, flows, personas, empathy maps, stakeholder maps and more
- Use of whiteboarding tools (i.e. FigJam, Mirro or the like)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- In-depth service design capabilities
- Great stakeholder management and relationship building
- Ability to learn and improve your skills in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to keep a cool head and meet deadlines
- Problem solving skills
- The ability to think creatively and deliver clever concepts
- The foresight to put themselves in the shoes of the user
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Significant technical experience in design thinking best practices
- The ability to spot problems in all areas of design thinking before they arise
- Digital innovation mindset, with the ability to challenge the norm, backed by findings
- Pro-active and incredibly creative with outside the box thinking
