Service/UX Designer

Join our Data Analytics Platform design team as a Service Designer & UX Designer within the Design Chapter of the Wholesale Bank Advanced Analytics (WBAA) Tribe. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the UX Lead to explore, understand, and simplify the complexities of the platform. From discovery; journey mapping and service blueprints, to final UX designs, you will be deeply involved in every stage of the design process! As part of the WBAA Design Chapter, you will also have opportunities to contribute to a variety of other projects—so we’re looking for someone highly versatile and comfortable working projects end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
– Discovery & Research Lead user research initiatives—such as interviews, surveys, and usability tests—to uncover pain points and identify feature opportunities.
– Service Design Collaborate with users and stakeholders to process, map, and understand the technical complexities behind new features and platform changes. You will run discovery workshops and align insights with business objectives to deliver service blueprints, customer journeys and personas.
– UX Design & Prototyping Define and design the platform interface with high-fidelity prototypes in Figma using an established design system. Rapidly iterate on concepts to test and validate ideas.
– Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to co-create solutions that are feasible, scalable, and aligned with product strategy.
– Data-Driven Design Apply user feedback, and behavioral data to inform design decisions and continuously improve the user experience.
– Documentation & Communication Clearly document research findings, personas, customer journeys, and service blueprints to ensure alignment and consistency across teams.
– Continuous Learning & Innovation Stay current with industry trends, tools, and methodologies to elevate design quality and push the boundaries of user experience.
About You
You are a versatile designer who thrives in end-to-end projects—from gathering research to applying insights to new platform features. You approach research with curiosity and precision, asking the right questions and translating insights into actionable outcomes. You’re a master of navigating the complex with effective journeys while also knowing Figma like the back of your hand!
You’re equally comfortable working independently or collaborating within cross-functional teams. Most importantly, you’re driven by a deep commitment to user-centered design and a desire to create products and services that solve real-world problems.
We Expect
– Proven career experience in Service Design, UX/UI design, user research, and user testing, with the ability to demonstrate clear competency across these areas.
– Advanced proficiency in Figma for UX/UI design and prototyping, with a strong attention to detail and visual consistency.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
– Hands-on experience conducting workshops and user research and translating insights into actionable journeys, service blueprints, and personas.
– Familiarity with design thinking and iterative development methodologies, especially in discovery and early-stage design contexts.
– Ability to interpret data and user metrics to inform design decisions and validate assumptions.
– A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design work—from research and ideation to final product or service delivery, we want to see your process!
– A growth mindset: open to feedback, eager to learn, and passionate about driving innovation in product design.
Bonus Skills
· A foundational understanding of data analytics and how it informs product design.
· Familiarity and or experience working with Ant Design System.
· Familiarity with AI initiatives and their practical applications in financial services.
· A strong grasp of business analysis and product strategy, with the ability to connect design decisions to broader business goals.
