Senior Service Designer

We are now looking for an experienced service designer to join Sopra Steria EGGS in Trondheim. You will become part of a small, senior team with high energy, strong influence, and ambitions to build one of the strongest design communities in the region.

About Us

Sopra Steria EGGS is one of Norway’s leading design environments, with over 100 designers across disciplines such as service design, interaction design, business design, UX research, and content design. We work closely with developers and business consultants in cross-disciplinary teams, delivering everything from strategic direction to finished solutions in production.

Many of the solutions we create are used daily by millions of people. That gives us both a responsibility – and an opportunity to make a real impact.

In Trondheim, we are a smaller, close-knit team of experienced designers working closely with one of the region’s strongest technology and product environments. We build full-stack product teams for both the public and private sectors – and we are set up for growth.

The Role

As a service designer with us, you will work at the intersection of user, technology, and business. You will lead or drive key parts of design processes – from insight and problem understanding to concept development and implementation.

You Will

• Conduct insight work and translate findings into clear strategic directions
• Facilitate workshops and create progress in complex organizations
• Design holistic services that work across channels, systems, and organizations
• Help connect design more closely to technology and actual implementation, and establish design as a strategic spearhead in our projects
• Be a clear professional voice – both internally and with clients

Who Are We Looking For?

We’re looking for someone who has worked for a few years, has experienced complexity – and is still curious.

You Have

• Minimum 5 years of experience in service design – preferably as a consultant
• Experience from both public and private sectors
• Ability to navigate complex challenges and stakeholder landscapes
• Strong competence in insight, analysis, and concept development
• Experience facilitating processes and creating direction in cross-disciplinary teams
• Good business understanding and ability to connect design to value
• Strong opinions on why the world needs more and better design

You are confident in your craft, but not done learning. You thrive with responsibility and enjoy being close to where things happen.
