Service Designer

Unique environment, unique mission, you’ve probably heard it before. But few beat this one.

In the coming years, Andøy society is expected to roughly double its population.

• On 2 November, Europe’s first spaceport opens,
• Construction of The Whale will soon begin,
• Myreze is in full swing with the establishment of Future Island,
• Andøy is one of five Gnist municipalities
• Andfjord Salmon takes sustainable salmon farming to new levels
• Etc…

And we take the challenge very seriously. The municipality has, among other things, applied to be an experimental municipality to see how service design can be used within the Municipal Act. We have established a separate unit for co-creation (read: service design) where a newly appointed manager with a broad design background is part of the municipality’s management team.

We have realized that we must work design-driven throughout our internal and external operations. It is an entire society that must be developed.

Together we will work both top-down and bottom-up, concrete and abstract, do and finalize, teach and inspire, internally and externally.

You will surely put your skills as a designer to the test, and help break new ground for what we can do with design.
